All Church schools in the Diocese will have a Section 48 Inspection following their Ofsted Section 5 inspection. Section 48 Inspections are carried out in accordance with Section 48 of the Education Act 2005 by accredited National Society inspectors who spend the equivalent of 1 day at the school talking with children and adults, gaining evidence and making judgements around the following 4 key questions:

1.  How does the school as a Church school meet the needs of its learners?

2.  What is the impact of collective worship on the community?

3.  How effective is the religious education?

4.  What is the impact of the leadership and management as a church school?
