Post 1: Teacher to provide maternity cover in Reception Class

Full-time temporary post from September 2017 to February 2018 to cover the maternity leave of the current post-holder.

An enthusiastic and experienced EYFS practitioner who embraces learning outside the classroom, is required to join our friendly team as class teacher to a small class of Reception children.

Post 2: Teacher to cover PPA

Part-time (approximately 0.5 fte) from September 2017. Initially temporary for one year, pending the needs of the school.

Our friendly and supportive village school is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and flexible teacher to cover PPA across three classes. This post is an exciting opportunity for an imaginative and flexible teacher to make an impact on learning, providing an exciting learning experience in foundation subjects as well Maths and English.

SENIOR ADMINISTRATOR

North Cockerington CE Primary School, School Lane, North Cockerington, Louth LN11 7LP

Grade: G6 P15-18 £ 21962 - £24174 pro rata

Hours: 40 weeks (38 term-time weeks, plus training days and a further week during school holidays), 26.75 hours per week

We are looking for an experienced Senior Administrator to start late August 2017.  This is initially a temporary position until April 2018, pending the needs of the Federation.  The late August start will enable the current post-holder to liaise with the new post-holder to ensure a smooth handover.

North Cockerington is a small Church of England village school with a family atmosphere and every member of staff is a valued member of our hard-working team.

Typical responsibilities for this post include the following, but the list is not exclusive:

  • Receptionist and general office duties
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date Single Central Register
  • Managing pupil data and other computer systems
  • Cash handling and banking
  • Using the County’s Agresso finance system to, for example: raise purchase orders, process goods receipts, manage petty cash transactions, set and monitor the school budget
  • Using the County’s Agresso HR system to manage employee details, for example: contractual changes, overtime, absence, and check the payroll for accuracy
  • Managing the School Fund account
  • Organising school events, trips etc in consultation with staff
  • Liaising with PTA
  • Supporting staff queries
  • Compiling the monthly school newsletter

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is well-organised
  • Has strong IT skills
  • Is able to multi-task and work under pressure
  • Has excellent communication skills
  • Is able to prioritise workload
  • Is able to work as part of a team as well as independently
  • Is able to maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Understands and can work to Safeguarding and Data Protection legislation
  • Is diplomatic and patient with a good sense of humour!
