Activities and Clubs

During lunch breaks and after school on certain days a variety of extra-curricular activities take place. These may vary during the year but may include:  outdoor games clubs, indoor games club, gymnastic club, multisport club, football club, art club, dance/music. Staff, and sometimes parents, generously offer after-school clubs in their own time, and free of charge. From time to time, other professionals are invited to run clubs, for which there may be a small charge.

We also provide arrangements for private music tuition to operate in school, where a fee is payable. At the present time there is guitar and violin tuition.

In partnership with Puddleducks Pre-school we also provide a variety of activities during the summer holidays. These include art and craft, music, drama and games.

Sporting Provision

In addition to the after-school clubs we compete in local tournaments at primary and secondary schools and are very proud of our children’s enthusiasm and achievements.
The Government’s Sports funding enables the school to benefit from staff training and pupil participation in a wider range of quality sporting activity than would be possible otherwise. Pupils throughout school have swimming lessons throughout the year at the Meridian Centre in Louth. This is possible through voluntary contribution of parents.
Each class has a block of five or six lessons four times over the year.
